Dr Petrina Kat, Dr Darren Di Iulio and staff welcome you to Adelaide Orthodontists. We are a specialist orthodontic practice that is dedicated to providing the best in orthodontic treatments and care for our patients. Our staff are all expertly trained in not only dental care, but also in identifying and assessing orthodontic concerns, determining treatment plans and tailoring a treatment to each patient. When first entering our modern and tranquil practice patients of all ages feel welcomed and comfortable. This allows for an experience that is generally daunting to all to feel at peace whilst receiving unparalleled service and treatments.
Dr Kat decided that she wanted to be a orthodontist after going through orthodontic treatment as a teenager to correct her crooked teeth. After graduating from Dentistry from the University of Adelaide in 1995, she worked as a general dentist for 2 years. She was immediately accepted into the Orthodontic Specialist Training programme in 1998 and completed her training in 2000. She has operated in private orthodontic practices since completing her training. Dr Kat enjoys working with children and adults of all ages and finds great satisfaction in seeing how much more confident her patients are at the end of treatment.
After obtaining his general dental qualifications at the University of Adelaide, Dr Di Iulio worked as a general dentist in private practice for 10 years. During this time he was also involved with teaching of undergraduate dental students at the University. After further training at the University of Adelaide, he specialised in orthodontics. Dr Di Iulio joined his wife Dr Petrina Kat in specialist orthodontic practice at Campbelltown in 2007. With his extensive general dental practice experience, his special interests include treatment of adult patients in combination with a restorative dentist as part of a comprehensive treatment plan.
