Are You Looking for Invisalign Adelaide?
Here At Adelaide Orthodontists We Offer Invisalign in Adelaide
You can now straighten your teeth without metal or brackets.
For most of our patients, particularly our adult patients, the idea of undergoing orthodontic treatment is usually quite daunting because of the obvious appearance of braces. At Aesthetic Orthodontics, we provide Invisalign – a revolutionary orthodontic technique involving custom-moulded plastic aligners that gradually shift your teeth into the desired positioning.
Invisalign can be successfully used to treat irregular, crowded or spaced teeth as well as alignment problems such as overbites, under bites and cross bites. Instead of traditional braces that use metal brackets and wires, Invisalign uses a series of custom-made, removable aligners that gradually move teeth to the desired positions.
Invisalign is a transparent, virtually undetectable and hygienic treatment that provides a great number of benefits such as:
- Lifestyle-friendly and virtually invisible.
- The aligners are removable, meaning that you can eat, brush and floss normally during treatment.
- Comfortable as there are no metal brackets or wires, which means reduced mouth irritation and pain.
Unlike braces, the Invisalign aligners can be removed allowing users to eat and maintain an excellent oral hygiene routine as usual. Also, you can take them out to enjoy special occasions, events or to feel confident when public speaking.
The treatment process
While Invisalign is appropriate for most patients, it is important to keep in mind that as the aligners are removable, your compliance to wear them for the required time is necessary to achieve optimal results.
When the custom-made aligners have been created for you, every 6 to 8 weeks you will have to visit your orthodontist for adjustments and to monitor your progress. At these regular appointments, you’ll receive a new set of aligners to continue the process. The total number of clear aligners is determined by your orthodontists and is specific to you. The whole treatment is generally completed over a period of 6 – 24 months.
Receiving Invisalign by a trained professional
It is important that you see a trained orthodontist when receiving the Invisalign treatment. While the treatment is offered by many dental practices, not all are specialist orthodontists. Our orthodontic team is highly trained in the full spectrum of cosmetic and traditional orthodontics and can determine which treatment will give you the best result.
